Daniela Lorenzo is an associate in the Litigation practice group. She represents pro-democracy clients from across the country in civil cases to safeguard voting rights and promote fair elections. Daniela is passionate about furthering progressive causes and promoting minority representation in the legal profession.   

Prior to joining Elias Law Group’s Washington, D.C. office, Daniela was a Litigation associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison in New York City, specializing in internal investigations and complex commercial litigation in the U.S. and abroad. She also cultivated a robust pro bono practice, advocating for reproductive rights, abortion access, and gender equality in state, district, appellate, and Supreme Court litigation.  

Previously, Daniela interned at ArchCity Defenders in St. Louis, Missouri, drafting policy to help homeless individuals in St. Louis and participating in litigation against a local municipality for police misconduct. She also interned at the Florida Center for Capital Representation in Miami, Florida, assisting with Florida habeas cases and researching and writing about the impacts of neurological development on the criminal behavior of young adults.  

Daniela graduated from Harvard Law School where she represented indigent defendants in criminal court and incarcerated people in disciplinary hearings in Massachusetts. She also served as co-president of La Alianza, an organization whose mission is to create community and promote the personal and professional growth of Latinx students and alumni of Harvard. Daniela is a proud University of Miami alumna; she received her Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, in political science, religious studies, and psychology.
