Graham White focuses his practice on voting rights, redistricting, and related constitutional issues.

Since joining Elias Law Group, Graham led the drafting of a successful merits brief in the North Carolina Supreme Court, resulting in a landmark holding that partisan gerrymandering violates the state constitution. He also took the lead on a successful brief in the Florida Supreme Court, defeating a request from the Florida Governor for an advisory opinion declaring unconstitutional certain congressional districts drawn to preserve minority voting strength. He continues to actively litigate voting rights challenges in other states including Texas and Georgia.

Prior to joining ELG, Graham practiced appellate and Supreme Court litigation at an international law firm based in Washington, D.C. In that capacity he served as lead counsel in a challenge to a Trump administration immigration regulation, arguing the summary judgment motion in federal court and obtaining vacatur of the challenged policy. He also has extensive experience in complex commercial litigation, having argued more than a half dozen dispositive motions in state and federal courts on behalf of a joint pharmaceutical defense group in ongoing nationwide litigation.

Graham clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit for the Hon. Cornelia Pillard, and on the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia for the Hon. Christopher Cooper. A graduate of Yale Law School, Graham was an Editor of the Yale Law Journal and a semifinalist in Yale’s internal moot court competition.
