ELG Partner Aria Branch Named “Trailblazer in Law” By City & State New York
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Elias Law Group Partner Aria Branch has been named to City & State New York’s inaugural list of Trailblazers in Law, “a select group of leaders who are using their legal training to make the world a better place”.
City & State New York recognized Ms. Branch’s representation of New York voters who successfully challenged the 2022 New York congressional districting process, resulting in a new map for the 2024 election after winning the case before the New York Court of Appeals.
“If Democrats retake control of the House of Representatives in November, they may have Aria Branch to thank. Branch successfully argued before the state Court of Appeals in a lawsuit that overturned court-drawn congressional maps from 2022 and ordered a new round of redistricting. The Washington, D.C.-based attorney successfully represented Democratic officials opposing a Republican lawsuit to overturn the state’s vote-by-mail law. Her work includes representing candidates at all levels of government on their campaigns,” wrote City & State.
In 2021, Ms. Branch was selected as a “Rising Star” by the National Law Journal. Ms. Branch is an alumnus of Duke University and Harvard Law School.
