Abha Khanna is a partner in Elias Law Group’s Litigation practice. She advises clients on a range of political law matters and has extensive experience in both trial and appellate advocacy.

Ms. Khanna has litigated before numerous state and federal courts across the country, including the U.S. Supreme Court. Her practice focuses largely on voting rights and redistricting litigation. Ms. Khanna leads the firm’s redistricting practice, and over the course of the post-2020 cycle has overseen nearly 20 redistricting cases from trial to appeal.

In 2019, one federal judge described Ms. Khanna’s cross-examination during trial as “an artful tour de force that should be studied by law students.” In fact, Ms. Khanna regularly guest lectures law school courses on election law, redistricting, and trial practice. Her pro bono work has included asylum cases, amicus support in favor of marriage equality and against the ban on transgender military service, and litigation support to victims of domestic violence and child abuse.

Ms. Khanna is an American Bar Foundation Fellow and was listed as a "Washington Rising Star" by Super Lawyers Magazine, 2015 – 2019.

Ms. Khanna is a graduate of Yale University, where she received both her B.A. and J.D. degrees. She subsequently clerked for the Honorable Judith W. Rogers of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia and the Honorable Judge Robert S. Lasnik of the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington. As a law student, she served as Comments Editor of the Yale Law Journal and directed a clinic providing legal advocacy for victims of domestic violence. Before law school, Ms. Khanna was a high school English teacher.
