Carissa Goodwin is a Regional Election Administration Director on the EPIC team. Prior to Elias Law Group, Carissa was a Senior Manager on the Research and Policy team at Fair Fight Action and Fair Fight PAC, where she oversaw the election disinformation portfolio and worked on election administration and voting rights issues. In this role, she built out efforts to protect voting rights in today’s challenging landscape of disinformation and election subversion. She holds a master’s with distinction from the University of St. Andrews from the Centre on Terrorism and Political Violence and is a graduate of Emory University in Georgia with degrees in public health and political science. She previously worked at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace on meta-studies countering disinformation and foreign malign influence operations in relation to elections. Although born and raised overseas, Carissa has roots in Georgia and has worked in various research and voter protection capacities on campaigns in Georgia. She is based in the Washington, D.C. office.
